Meet The Owner
Mark Bannister is the son of Garry Bannister - founder of the Bannister name in construction back in the late 1970s. Mark began his journey working under his father’s expert guidance until he gained his carpentry qualification in 1995. Deciding to travel overseas extensively, he funded this by working on many projects world-wide, spending time in such diverse countries as United Arab Emirates, Russia India and Canada for almost 10 years.
Mark returned, settling back into Bannister Building as the Leading Hand and Foreman for commercial projects. Progressing to Project Manager, then Construction Manager and gaining a Certificate IV in Building and Construction. Mark took over the business reins when Garry retired in 2011. Mark continues to expand his knowledge with qualifications in such related fields as Occupational Health and Safety Management, Building Inspections, Quantity Surveying, Waterproofing for Supervisors and Asbestos Removal & Management.
